Regularisation of Unauthorised Buildings

The Scheme of Regularisation of Unauthorised Buildings to regularise the unauthorised buildings announced by the Government in 2002 was stayed through 12 writ petitions filed by various associations in Coimbatore and subsequently the scheme was quashed by the High Court of Chennai in WP.No. 17879 of 2003. Now the Scheme does not exist. The total number of applications received is 1050 and the fee amount collected is Rs.3.25 crores.
