Geographical Information System (GIS):

As ordered by the Commissioner of Municipal Administration, Chennai the Tata Consultancy Services Ltd, Chennai has started the GIS study in Coimbatore in 2008 and the same is expected to complete by beginning of 2011. This study will cover the property which will help the Corporation to maintain & manage the property tax, and other services in the city very easily and accurately without any time delay using the Geographical Information System (GIS). The linking of other software like Auto DCR, Asset Management, UAC Management, Engineering Estimation Software with GIS will results in better administration in the future.
